Launch QR does not collect, store, or transmit any data you enter. All QR code generation happens entirely in your browser. We never see your URLs, contacts, WiFi passwords, or any other input. One exception: if you voluntarily sign in with Google to use logo embedding or QR saving, your Google profile and saved QR codes are stored via Supabase — see "Optional Account" below.
Launch QR (launchqr.app) is a free, browser-based QR code generator. It is a personal project with no company, no employees, and no commercial data processing.
We collect no personal data ourselves. However, two third-party services are loaded on this site that may collect data independently:
| Service | What it collects | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Page views, browser type, approximate location (from IP), device type, referrer | To understand how many people use the site |
| Google Fonts | Your IP address when fonts are loaded | To serve the site's typography |
| Supabase (optional) | Google name, email, profile picture; up to 10 saved QR codes per account | Only if you sign in — enables logo embedding and QR saving |
Launch QR itself sets no cookies. Google Analytics sets the following cookies on your browser:
You can block these cookies using your browser settings or a browser extension like uBlock Origin.
Everything you type into Launch QR — URLs, WiFi passwords, contact details, crypto addresses — stays in your browser. It is never sent to any server, never logged, and never stored anywhere outside your device.
The QR code library (QRCode.js) runs entirely client-side. No network request is made to generate your QR code.
Signing in is entirely optional. An account is only required for two features: embedding a logo in your QR code and saving QR codes to your profile. Every other feature works without any account.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google name, email address, and profile picture. This is stored in Supabase (our backend) to identify your account. QR codes you save are stored in Supabase linked to your account — including QR content such as URLs or text.
Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR (EU), CCPA (California), or similar laws. Since we collect no personal data, most rights are satisfied by default. For Google Analytics data specifically:
QR codes you generate may encode links to external websites. Launch QR has no control over and takes no responsibility for the privacy practices of those websites.
